Trailer Loading Horses - Allowing horse to turn around & walk out - Rick Gore Horsemanship. http://www.thinklikeahorse.org/index-10.html
I have trailer loading page on my site that explains more about trailer loading. In this vid I talk about allowing a horse to turn around in the trailer and allowing the horse to walk out forward and not forcing a horse to back out of trailers. There is nothing wrong with allowing a horse to turn around in a trailer, the first time you try this the horse may bolt a little or get in a hurry or try and rush out of the trailer, this is NORMAL. It is will be new to many horses, so just be ready to give direction and help the horse understand that it is OK to relax and to walk out of the trailer. Like most things with horses "time" is the key, the more time you spend doing something the better YOU and your horse get, so spending time trailer loading, tying and other things will make you better and when you get better, your horse gets better.
